Default What to filter?

After boiling an all grain batch and you are transferring it to your fermenter, do you want to filter out the break material? I wasn't sure if that contained many of "nutrients" that yeast need or not.

My funnel came with a filter and I had to stop about 5 times during the transfer to clean the filter out of "gunk" and it was only a half batch!

Thansk.

Hot break is best left out of the fermenter. However, if you chill the batch in the kettle you also have cold break in there too, which can be benificial for fermentation.
