It seems like they've gotten pretty good results from this method, but I already bought a cooler and I'm ready to head off to home depot to buy the rest of the materials for my cooler mashtun

Any thoughts?

Been discussed here before (hard to find due to the "short word" search limit). Some of the objections were (1) lifting a whole bag of hot wet grain in a homemade bag -- potentially dangerous -- and (2) thin consistency of the mash, because you're mashing with your full volume of water. (3) poor efficiency due to no sparging

Yeah, I'd really hate to have to stand there and hold a big bag of grain over the brew pot while it drains. I can't see how its easier or better than batch sparging, in fact I'd fly sparge before I'd consider that crazy method.
