Wearing a black arm band!

I'm in mourning today. I went to the basement last night and found my latest full bag of Briess 2-row was infested with moths. It was full of webs, crawling with larvae, and down at the bottom it had started to mold...blue-green mold. I had to pitch the entire bag.
Shortly after I brought it home in June I noticed moths flying around in the basement, but I was too stupid to check. Now I've thrown out $38 worth of grain.
Stinkin' moths

Is it wet down there? I would be concerned about the mold most of all. The rest is just extra protein!

Very tough to get rid of those moths. They got in our cereal cabinets at our old house and we couldn't eradicate them. We finally threw out ALL the cereal in the house and waited several weeks before restocking.
I keep all my grain in plastic homer buckets that have a gasket in the lid. I've since added one dog food container that's a little easier to open and can fit the entire bag of grain. I don't wait until I need to break open the bag, it gets put in the buckets right away.

And if you can - take your CO2 and shoot it into the storage container before you close it. No oxygen, no bugs.

They make a moth trap, that seems to catch a ton of them, but then again, there never seems to be an end to them either. We've had moths for a long time now, and my wife would love to get rid of them, but so far it hasn't worked.
We've tried sealing everything up, but somehow they always seem to find the impossible way i, or find some other food source to stay alive with.
