Default Waxy aftertaste

Hello all,
I have about 25 brews under my belt. I have been troubled lately with a bizarre waxy aftertaste in a couple of my brews. At first I only noticed it in a dunkelweizen, but now I am noticing it in all of my beers. pale ales, stouts, Bavarian u name it. Although I have not had many commercial beers it the past few months due to the plethora of brews in my apartment, I have had a couple and have noticed this in a few. What in the heck am I tasting? I am beginning to think that I am going absolutely beer crazy. Its a waxy coat that can last for hours. LHBS has no idea based on verbal descriptors, but it's starting to drive me nuts. Can't wait to hear ideas!
Cheers
