Default Tasted my CherrBerr Lager ....

I just thought I would pass this along.

I posted my recipe in the fruit beer section.

http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f75/cherrberr-lager-66818/

I chiiled down a bottle, last night. It really turned out very good.

It had a very nice, dark red color. Good fruit flavor, with a malty aftertaste.
Not too hoppy. I think I hit it just right. It should be a hit at the Memorial Day Weekend Cookout.

When I lived in Germany we had a cherry tree in the yard and bought a little plastic and metal device that clamped to the edge of a table or counter. It had a hopper and pitted one cherry at a time pretty easily.

That's just if you were worried about what cherry seeds did in your beer or that pieces might make it through to bottles.

I was a little concerned about that too. I just lightly pulsed them in the food processor, and didn't get much breakage of the pits. When I racked it to the secondary, not much came through the racking cane, and I didn't have any blockage issues, during the transfer.
