Strawberry Black IPA - Few questions
Hi guys. Doing a black IPA tomorrow that I will be adding 10 lbs of strawberries to the whirlpool. I will let simmer for about 20-30 at flameout before cooling. I'll be straining the strawberries out before going into fermenter, but was thinking of adding 1-2 lbs of the "strawberry mush" back into the fermenter. Does anyone have experience with leaving strawberries in during fermentation? Thanks in advance

Not strawberries but used cherries in a stout once. I had a very difficult time racking beer with auto-siphon, cherries pieces kept clogging input.

Don't strain! Rack to secondary on 5 lbs of strawberries.

Let us know how it comes out, it sounds fantastic. I'd leave strawberries in through fermentation.
