Default Spring Break Brewing Marathon: Sunday American Barleywine!

Ok, after two days of preparation I'm brewing BrewPastor's Water Into Barleywine today.

I'm doing this as an all grain beer in a one bedroom apartment. Should be interesting..........

I'll keep posting updates here.

Yeah, I'm heating my hot water on the stove right now. I'm doing it in two pots because I need 6.5 gal for the dough in. This is the biggest beer that I've ever done all grain.

Good Luck.

Sounds like a noble quest.

I mashed in and overshot my temp. I'm at 150 instead of 148. It's a 90 minute mash so I think it'll come down a bit. I've only got about 2 1/2 inches left in the top of my 10 gal cooler so I cant really add any cold water.

Coolie (my mash tun) has never has so much wort in him!

Ok, I just remembered that I had forgotten to get some Northern Brewer hops from the LHBS. So.......... I've got some 2 oz Amarillo, 8 oz centennial, 2 oz of liberty, 1 of williamette, and 1 of EKG. Any suggestions?
