I am currently brewing a pumpkin ale and was on my second sparge when I was called away. The grains were in the sparge water for about 45 minutes. Will this be a problem with tanin extraction (sp)?
Depends on the ph and temperature, doesn't it?

Should be good to go I would think. That isn't too long and it sounds like your batch sparging so I wouldn't worry. Isn't tannin extraction more of a fly-sparging worry?
