Does anyone have any recommended Articles or sources on beer shelf life? I am curious about bottle vs keg, affect from beer styles, and warm bottle vs cold bottles. I noticed my bottled pale ale tastes like crap after sitting in the fridge for 4 months.
Thanks. I was wondering if there was a chart, rules of thumb, or something more specific. If i am rogue, do I have sell by dates on all my beers? Otherwise, a customer may buy their beer and think they make crappy beer and never buy them again.
I have a dark beer that is at about 75 weeks in the bottle and it's getting really good. My pale ales peaked at about 8 weeks and went downhill from loss of hop aroma. These were all stored at 72 degrees.
