Default Need a Quick Answer!!

How much grain can I mash in a Keggle at 1.25qts/lb?

A hell of a lot.

I think I could easily get 20 lbs of grain in my 10 gallon cooler, and a keggle is almost 15 gallons, so you should be able to go up to 30 lbs, I'd think.

This is not an fact, just my hunch.

Crap... Guess I'm just gonna have to back her down to 1qt/gallon.. 10 gallons of a big IPA with a 34# grain bill going on here.. Thanks for the help Guys... That blingmann link rocks..

I did 32 lbs one time but that was pushing it to the extreme. Once it swelled it was right at the top.

Well it's all in there.. Gotta couple of inches to spare.. Not gonna be able to use my float switch for sparging though..
