I have a 5 gallon and a 10 gallon cooler. I can fit about 12# max in the 5, so there is a tad amount of room at the top for sparging, and I haven't stuffed the 10 full yet (about 20# so far).

I somehow managed to squeeze 27# into my 10 gallon, but it was really thick and it leaked a bit when I put the lid on.
