Default mash time

im doing an all grain version of alaskan amber, the recipe does not specify length of mash time, is 60 min usally the standard length of time if not specified? its a single infusion mash. thanks

Sixty minutes will be just fine.

60 minutes will ensure full conversion, however you may get it in as little as 30 minutes.

The longer mash will help break down the sugars to make them easier for the yeast to eat, giving you a more fermentable wort.
