Should I correct the OG for temperature when I'm trying to figure out the mash efficiency? If not my efficiency stinks.

yes. absolutely.

unless i misunderstand your question, you need to make adjustments for your gravity measurements if it's not at 60-65F (depending on your hydrometers calibration).

If your wort is hot it will come in much low in gravity then otherwise.

When the wort is over 100 degrees, even the correction scales are inaccurate. The best way to do it is to cool the sample to no higher than 90 degrees, then use the temperature correction chart.

Zactly what Yooper said. I brew in my garage so I put the sample in the freezer....Doesn't take long to get down to temp. (Especially if your using a hydrometer....wouldn't want to think what'll happen it you drop one of those in hot wort......cracky, cracky, smash.....)
