Default Malting- AT HOME

Yeah, I know its crazy, and I know I can get malted grains any any homebrew shop, and I should support my local store... I know!

BUT, I wanna make my own malt at home. Can anyone provide details or point me in the right direction for soaking, germination, and kilning time and methods.
oh and..

There was a discussion on this topic on Basic Brewing Radio maybe a year or so ago. Go to www.basicbrewing.com/radio and peruse the archives - good information in that show, even if the interest is theoretical (as it is with me), not wanting to actually MALT, per se.

EDIT: Here's the MP3.
