Jamil's Irish red - base malt question

I want to brew Jamil's Irish red from his classic stlyes book and have a question about the base malt.
He puts english pale malt there; If I can only get European/belgian 2 row pale malt or Maris otter, which one of those two should I use??

I would use Maris Otter. I always use MO for Irish Reds.

Maris otter is a British two-row base malt. It's "warmer" tasting, maybe a tiny bit fuller flavored, and great for any British style beers.
