Default jack frost ale

Jack Frost ale

All Grain

SG: 1.077
IBU: 38.40

Yeast: American 1056

Volume: 5.5

Grain Bill

Marris Otter 8lbs / 53%
Aromatic 1.5lbs / 10%
Honey Malt 2.5lbs / 16.7%

Hops:

Admiral 3/4oz 60min

Adjunts:

Honey Orange Blossom 3lbs 20 min
2 sugar pumpkins (about 3- 6 lbs) (1 in the mash, 1 in the boil 60 min)
1/4 tsp nutmeg 10 min
1/4 tsp cinnamin 10 min
1 tsp Irish moss
1 tsp nutrient

fermentation

1 week in primary

3- 4 weeks in seconday to let the spices and the honey to mellow


well i came up with this idea for after i finished all my halloween beers. i wanted to try one more type of pumpkin and add some a different twist to a typical pumpkin beer. for this beer, im going to either use sugar pumpkins or luna pumpkins are the white type of pumpkin. thats where i came up with the idea of jack frost ale. jack for the use of pumpkins and the frost for the time of year ill be serving this one.

I think it has pumpkin in it and you are more adventerous than I.

it has pumpkin in it just the small and maybe the odd type. i plan on useing luna or sugar pumpkin. im going to get both and see wich one i like more.
