How much priming sugar for a pumpkin porter
I am bottling my Pumpkin Porter tonight and I'm not sure of the amount of Corn Sugar to use. Can anyone lend a hand? Thank you in advance.

If you're talking about carbing to style then you would carb it to what the base beer is in your case a porter.

Use the tastybrew calculator to determine how much sugar you need.

I'd target around 2 volumes.

Thanks both of you. I guess i need to figure out if the base beer is a robust or brown porter. Im thinking robust based on the abv. Either way, one calculator has it at 2.9oz and the other at 3.3. I may just shoot for the middle. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks again to both of you.

Im going with Robust instead of Brown and its coming up at 3.1 oz for 4.8 gallons. I'm going with 4.8 instead of 5 because historically I have come up just a bit short of 5.
