|
|
I've been seeing a lot of threads on grain crush lately, so I put together a short video of my grain mill in action. I hope you guys find it informative. Enjoy!

Sweet job! You are my Hero Tim Allen!
You need to fly out to Austin in your F-111 and help me build the brew hut.

I wondered when you were going to narrate on a vid. Good stuff. I almost posted a video of my crankandstein doing its thing but never got around to it.

About 600 RPM. The gearmotor turns at 175, and I have a little less than a 4:1 ratio on the pulleys.

I generally avoid it because I find myself making mistakes, like "intact husks...er uhh...intact kernels."

Nice dude, I was having a hard time picturing it when you were explaining it over here... makes more sense to actually see it.

Do you find that works better for you than at the slower speed? I geared my Crankandstein down to around 140 RPM.

I've run it as fast as 2,000. Honestly, I don't see much of a difference in crush regardless of speed.

I run my crankenstein around 600RPM and I get a very good crush.
