In terms of grain, hardly any difference at all. The particular maltster makes much more difference than the country of origin.

OK. I ask because I want to buy a sack of pilsner to use in my beers. I plan on making a Belgian strong dark that uses 15lbs so I figured I would buy a sack of Belgian pislner and use the remainder as base malt for my other recipes that call for pilsner. Does this sound fine?

Yep, no problem. I go the other way...I buy German pils and use it in my Belgians.
