So one of my friends sent me about 20lbs of fresh from the field barley from Montana the other day. What can I do with it?
Well, that depends on what kind of barley it is. If it wasn't grown specifically for brewing, then it's probably not going to be worth hassling with. Feed barley makes for some pretty terrible beer.
I'd keep it under 20% of the grain bill and do a cereal mash.
