Just kidding. Dump the yeast in and it'll probably be fine. If nothing happens after 2 days, pitch nottingham dry yeast and call it good.

Nothing's going to happen in the pack that wouldn't also happen in the fermenter. The point of the smack pack is to give you a head start on waking up your yeast, and make sure it's viable. It's too late for a head start (and leaving your wort vulnerable without yeast would be counterproductive) and at this point you'll just have to cross your fingers and hope the yeast is viable. You probably have nothing to worry about.
Ok, after six hours the burp in the air lock started. Usually starts in four. Had a blow off tube attached but the bung kept sliding up. Got some head space so I put the airlock on with rubber band. Dose anyone else have the trouble with the bung sliding up.
It's just wet, wipe the stopper and inside of carboy off with some vodka, the vodka will evaporate in a couple seconds and then your stopper will stay put.
