Default Flaked Barley

Hi all.....I'm pretty new to AG (only 2 AG batches) was doing some reading about using flaked barley. Does flaked barley need to run through a mill/grinder first or can it be right straight into the mash with the other grains?

Straight into the mash. When the barley was put thru the hot rollers, it gelatinized & is now ready to go.

I doesn't need to be milled...but I usually put all my grains in a bucket as I measure them out and dump into my mill...so sometimes they get crushed...doesn't hurt 'em....
