Default First time BIAB how to calculate effeciency

I did my first BIAB this weekend. It was a partial mash with 2 LB of DME. Took an OG reading after the boil. Is it accurate to use this OG, compared to the calculated OG of the recipie at 100%, to calculate effecinecy, or will the 2 lbs DME throw the calculations off?

I would think that the DME will throw off the calcualations...efficiency only applies to the AG portion of the grain bill.

It's simple enough to discount the 100% SG addition of DME. Take the total volume you got into the fermenter and multiply the SG. For example, 5 gal x 55 (just assuming 1.055 OG, and you remove the 1.0 portion of the number). That gives you the total gravity units of 275. Now you remove the DME portion which is 45 points per pound per gallon. 275-90=185 points from grain. 185 diluted at 5 gallons (185/5 = 1.037).
