Default First AG brew and new kettle question

I am new to AG brewing (real new I will do my first on Saturday) and I am looking at picking up a new brew kettle (8gal) and don't know if a false bottom or a bazooka tube is the way to go. so i figured i would ask the experts.

I still don't know if I am going to use pellets or whole leaf hops and I am going to be using gravity as I don't have pumps.

if this helps I plan on
1.) placing water to boil on stove
2.) drain into mash tun (placed on milk crates or table)
3.) reheat remaining water
4.) drain mash tun into boil kettle (placed on the floor)
5.) add the remaining water to tun
6.) drain to kettle. (hoist it back on to the stove)
7.) boil for an hour while adding hops (@proper time intervals)
8.) cool wort and drain to primary.
(i know i left some stuff out)

but with this system which would be better a false bottom or a B tube?

Please be gentle it's my first time.

I think it depends more on whether you plan to batch or fly sparge.

Batch - either will work
Fly - false bottom is better

This is also pretty helpful

Why would you need either in the boil kettle?

To keep the break material & hops out of the fermenter.

Do you know if your stove can boil 6-7 gallons of water? Most can't.

I'm using an igloo rectangle cooler with the stainless dishwasher line.

TopherM - yea it should be able to I have used it to make B.B. kits for the last 3 years and they boil up Quick. it's a late 70's electric and it's a beast if wasn't so ugly I might take it out of the basement and use it all the time.

I also realized that my current brew kettle will only hold about four full gallons. so I may need to order a new kettle sooner than I realized.
