Tried my first protein yesterday afternoon, wow nice experiment, probably should have used more water. I had no idea I was going to get so much break material. Normally I would avoid getting it into the fermenter but if I didn't on this batch I would have only got around 2 gallons of wort.
had 9.5 lbs german pilsner
3 lbs domestic pilsner
.75 lbs carapils

122 for 30 minutes
152 60 minutes
90 minute boil
whirfloc at last 15 minutes

looks like I'm going to get around 4 gals bottled
