Default The downside of apartment brewing

For the last year i have used a plug-in element in addition to my stove so that i could achieve and maintain a rolling boil in my 8 gallon kettle. (apartment brewer)

Today after collecting the wort for Skeezers Zombie Dust clone my element decided to stop working.

I proceeded to "simmer" my wort at 208F. In addition to the regular hop bill, i took a gallon of wort out of the pot and boiled it separately with an ounce of magnum for 60 minutes, and then added it back to my kettle to ensure that i got enough bitterness

The wort actually tasted good. But... should i be worried about anything else due to the lack of rolling boil?

Eh, you might not get a super clear beer that you would get otherwise from a hard boil, and possibly some off flavors (DMS, maybe?). But I dunno if it will be all that bad.

Ferm Chamber on top of Keezer / Through Wall / All in One Build

Primary: Dirt Wolf Clone, Cider
Snow Ball Pale Ale, Brown Trout Stout

Bulk Aging:
Up Next: Some sort of Red Ale, Pecan Porter

Should be fine. Shouldn't affect the taste.
It may not turn out as clear as the same beer with a proper boil, but it will be beer.

This might be noticeable in an APA.

Let us know how it comes out!

tap 1 - air
tap 2 - Pils (Magnum hops and S-23)
tap 3 - Bravo Brown Belgian Ale (T-58)
Keg 1/4/5 - starsan

Fermenting: 1.069 American Stout (15 gal)
