Default Does this crush make me look fat?

I'm still getting used to using my Corona. How does this crush look to you guys? I tightened it up just until I stopped seeing unbroken grains.

Thanks!

-Joe

Looks good to me. If it's not sticking, you should be good....if it does stick, give it some rice hulls.

Hes saying if you dont get a stuck sparge, its good, if not, throw in a handful or rice hulls into your mash. It helps with stuck sparges

Well...If you want to be perfectly clear about it...you could say it like that.

If the water doesn't flow through the mash, it's stuck.

Stuck Sparge.

Don't bother.
It's when the grain bits and pieces clump together so tightly that it plugs the hot wort from draining out of your mash tun.

You want the grain bed to pack down tight enough that it acts like a filter for the little bitty chunks of grain, and allows the water to wash the sugars from the grain. When you gat your crush too fine, it cakes together VERY tightly, and won't allow the water to run through it.

Doesn't look like you'll need to worry about that with your crush there.
