Let me know if I have this right: Batch sparging is great if you want to save time and have enough space in your tun for the extra water.
Fly sparging will allow me to have a larger grain bill given the same size tun, correct? So if I decide to do a big beer I will probably need to switch to a false bottom and take a lot longer to drain the wort?
Has anyone batch sparged a 1.100 imperial stout in a 10 gallon rubbermaid cooler? Would I be ok if I switched to a larger rectangular cooler?
