Cold Pressed Carafa

I took a nod from Gordon Strong's book, and cold pressed some carafa. It was added to the beer i was making and it came out black, smooth, and delicious this way. No roasted harness at all.
so that was like a month ago, and i saved the grains in a tupperware container, stuck them in my fridge and their they sit. How long do you think i could keep them around to do this again? Resoak them and add them to a beer i need black/smooth darkness?
