Default Cleaning out the grain, hops, and yeast!

SWMBO is with her sister, kid is playing wii, got some stuff in the brewing cabinet, time to brew!

What do you think of this recipe?

8/10/2008 Clean and prepare equipment.
-- Measure ingredients, crush grains.
-- Prepare Water (9.99 gal total)

2 min Mash Ingredients
Mash In: Add 4.69 gal of water at 174.2 F
45 min - Hold mash at 158.0 F for 45 min
-- Drain Mash Tun
-- Batch Sparge Round 1: Sparge with 5.30 gal of 168.0 F water.
-- Add water to achieve boil volume of 7.39 gal
-- Estimated Pre-boil Gravity is: 1.060 SG with all grains/extracts added

158F seems a bit hot, you'll get a less fermentable wort that way.

But, I'm not a pale ale or IPA drinker, so maybe that is normal for the style.

Not a normal temp for a pale ale, but would be nice for a dopplebock or scottish /80.

With a 15 lb grain bill, that's going to be nice and chewy.
