Default Bumping up OG with dme?

I wouldn't think there'd be any problems with scrambling out to my hbs to grab a pound of dme, cook it up cool it and toss into active primary fermentation?

I did my first attempt at two step infusion and misjudged. Ended up with a soupy mash trying to raise above 150. Obvious my efficiency is way low with an OG of 1.039

What will a pound of dme do to a 5 gal batch? Two pounds?

this will definitely be a session Hefe

You think correctly little grasshopper. Just be sure to match the temps and keep everything sanitary as usual.

If you have a 5 gallon batch, you can bump your gravity about 9-10 points per lb of DME.
