How much base malt should be used when doing a partial mash with biscuit malt? I recently did a partial mash with 3 lbs biscuit and 1 lb lager malt and the OG seemed to come out alright; (i mashed at 150 for 80 minutes) but in the future was thinking I probably should have used more base malt.
I've never done a partial mash, but for me a little biscuit goes along way. I recently made an all-grain ESB with 8+% biscuit and I thought it a bit much. FWIW, it used Maris Otter as the base @ 75%.
