Default BeerTools Pro question

How does one account for grain bitterness in a recipe? I have a Porter recipe that calls for 1/2 pound of Black Barley, which I'm told is intensely bitter. BeerTools only calculates bitterness from hop additions. Here's the entire recipe:

8.5lb 2-row
1lb CaraMunich Type I
1 lb Chocolate Malt
.5 lb Crystal 120L
.5 lb Black Barley
1 oz Perle for 60 min.
1 oz Willamette at 10 minutes
1 oz Willamette at 0 min.
S-05

34.7 IBU
30.2 SRM color
OG: 1.051
FG: 1.013

I was thinking of adding a hald a pound of Dextrine malt as well.

Thanks for the input!

It doesn't and I don't know of any software that does. Malt contribution to flavor profile is a black art and can't be calculated ;-)

Well, thanks for the info, Bob. I'm going with the recipe the way it is. I like bitterness in my beers, so I'm sure this one will be fine. When I ordered the supplies from BMW, I noticed that they had "de-bittered" black barley. If the Porter comes out too bitter, I'll re-brew it with the de-bittered grain.
