I'm just wondering if you need to use a specific type of barley for making beer? I know there are certain types that are generally used, is there a particular reason for this? Probably a bit of a dumb question, I know, I guess I would figure it out for myself if I just jump in and start all grain brewing for myself!

I plan to, as soon as we are finished moving to our new place.
