Default American Amber second runnings beer

Just wanted to throw this out and see what anyone has to say.

I made an AG American Amber last night, and when I was done and said with everything, I realized that I had really wet grains... So I went ahead and sparged them as best as I could, boiled for about 30 minutes, hopped them, and came out with 3 gallons of 1.016 beer. Tossed some english Ale on top (its what I had on hand) and now am waiting to see how it goes.

I know this beer will end up being around 1 or 2 percent alcohol, but it was more of an experiment.

The American Amber was 1.070 for a 5.25 gallon batch.

Has anyone else tried this and had decent results?

Cheers

Lucas

I've done it once or twice. It okay for drinking with meals or when the weather is really hot. Last one I did was from Poor Richard's 300th Ale.
