Default Almost done with my first all grain adventure!

I made a Sierra Nevada clone and so far it seems to be doing pretty well. I was aiming for 7 gallons of water to boil down to 6, but I ended up with more like 7.5. My efficiency ended up being about 65% which I can live with for my first time out.

I did have a question on the mash/sparge and speed of draining. Mine came out really fast. My mash tun was finished draining in all of a couple minutes. Would I get better efficiency if I let it drain slower? That's just one thought that came to mind. I did hit all my temperatures right where I wanted them, so that part was good too.

Oh, and remember to stir really well! gets you better efficiency if you're batch sparging.

I used to worry alot. The other day I did 3 batches in 6 hours without batting an eyelash. You'll get used to it. think making oatmeal
