Default adding H20

My boil of is more than expected and I am down to 4 gallons. It should be 5. Can I just add 1 gallon of boiled water to the fermenter to bring it up to 5?

Sure, as long as it’s sterile. Next time this happens, just add it to the boil. Alternately you could leave it alone and just drink a little bigger beer.
