Liquids were moved around in buckets, heat supplied by 2 100,000 BTU burners, and we heated water and boiled in two stainless steel vessels my mom once used to store honey. They were approx 32 gallons a piece. To boil, we split the runnings between the vessels.

Wow! I like the garden hose for the gas, but yes, probably shouldn't try this at home. Any particular reason for 60 gallons at once? Are you just trying to get ahead, or did you have an extra 120 lbs of grain you needed to get rid of? I thought doing 2 - 11 gallon batches in a day was feat, so I can't imagine 2 - 30 gallon batches. Anyways, good job on the massive brew day.

A bunch of us throw a big party for Labor Day weekend. Last year I made a keg... this year I made 4.

The barrels belonged to my mom from when she used to store honey in them. I took one look at them and knew that beer needed to be made in them.

Wow. I can't imagine even trying that feat. I also can't imagine the clean up time lol! I also wouldn't recommend the garden hose for the gas.
