Default 1st AG tomorrow and a quick question.

Exactly how do I use 5.2 stabilizer?

It says 1Tbsp/5 gal, if I have a strike volume of 2.5 gal,do I use 1/2 Tbsp?

And, should I add it to my sparge water as well? If so, do I add 1Tbsp/5 gallons of sparge, or take the diffrence from the mash?

I added enough to equal 1Tbsp/gallon mash+sparge water. It pumps my eff% 12-16 points per batch that I have used it on.

So, add enough in the mash to equal what will end up in the boil kettle is what it sounds like? Right?

Wow...that's pretty deep.

IMO, unless your water is totally screwed don't expect to gain 12-16 points like was posted earlier. Most people's pH is fine even before the buffer, unless you are on well water.
