Default Where to use Food grade grease ?

When assembling a keg where do you use grease ?
Ive been using it on all o-rings but mainly for the large lid o-ring.
Im concerned that any contact with the beer will be a head killer as with any oil - is this a valid concern ? Should I avoid using it on the posts and poppet valves ?

No. Use it on the all the o-rings. All the o-rings are important for sealing the keg, not just the lid o-ring.
