Default What is PTF threads on regulator?

Just bought a regulator off ebay, and it has 1/4" PTF ports. Will these work with MFL connectors? Do I need adapters? It seems that NPT and PTF threads are interchangeable, but I'm soooooo confused.

Everything I've read calls PTF a dry seal and it should thread into NPT females. Same pitch and thread size just eliminated the first turn of thread on the male part.

It should work with 1/4" NPT fittings. Be sure to use the right rating pipe on the high pressure sides. The low pressure side can use any class of brass.
