Default volume loss priming question

I put a all grain guinness clone in a 5 gallon carboy for primary. I lost about 1/2 gallon when the yeast really went to work. The recipe calls for 3/4 cup corn sugar for 5 gal....So since i have 4.5 gal now should I trim the priming sugar back???????

Yup. you need to use 22/32nds of a cup.

Yes, I'm exagerating. Priming ain't that tight of a science. You are down 10%, could you tell if you have 10% tooooo much head?


So far, I've had more experience thinking than I've had don't think they are mutually exclusive, do you?

72 batches so far,
48 wine, mostly Loquat, peach, plum, prickly pear
23 beers and ciders
1 sauerkraut
1 Tequila, from a prickly pear wine experiment that didn't work. I call it "Prickly Heat"
