Default Time for a new capper

My old metal wing capper is breaking on me. I can buy either a new wing capper or a new bench capper. Based on my bottling workflow, I think I would really like a bench capper, but I have never used one. Are there certain models to look for or to avoid? About how much do they cost (I don't want to get ripped off at the LHBS)? My LHBS has the red plastic wing cappers; do those work well?

I bought a Colona bottle capper from Midwest. Works great, very easy to adjust and will cork wine bottles also.

I asked for and got the Super Agata capper for x-mas. It adjusts to any bottle with one hand operation. Just push down, and cap. I'll never go back to the wing type.

Bench capper is the way to go. Check out morebeer.com that's where I picked mine up. It is a well made product.

Ive tried both and for my style of bottling the wing capper works better. I have the "red baron" wing capper (most likely the red one your lhbs has) and I have zero complaints so far.

I would say try to find the best solution that fits your bottling style
