Default tap question

kind of a silly question but im gunna ask anyway i bought a new from beverage factory D tap it came with a little plastic piece inside the neck where the beer line screws on my question is.. is that just for shipping to hold the plastic ball bearing in there or is it supposed to stay when the keg is tapped and hooked up.

If it's what I'm thinking, it's a little rubber washer to create a seal so your coupler doesn't leak. Leave it in.
