It's ok. Contrary to popular opinion, possession and consumption of alcohol by those under the age of 21 is not illegal in all jurisdictions. Possession vs purchase, parental consent and supervision, etc all differ depending on the state. Some people just assume what's true for their locale is true the world over. There are certainly valid reasons to be concerned about discussing illegal activity on this forum, but I think the reaction to your question is a bit extreme.

To answer your question, I use a normal faucet and regular CO2 for my stouts and they taste just fine. I'm sure if I used a special faucet or nitro I'd have better results, but I haven't heard any complaints yet. Maybe one day I'll upgrade, but no hurry.

As far as stouts go, your opinion of your beer is the one that matters. Actually, any ale or lager is the right one because that is the one you chose to brew. I hope you see that the people on this website are helpful and honest to a fault. As far as your not being 21 yet, I can agree to the point of an earlier post. If you lived in a state that just legalized home brewing, and we knowingly gave you instruction on how to brew beer, even though you are/were underage, and you got drunk, caused an accident, and told the police you learned how to here, the crap would hit the fan. And, I am sure all the naysayers that opposed the passing of that particular law, would say, "We told you so", and the rest of that store is obvious... Please don't be offended, we really do care.
