Spraymalt (DME) is the best for priming!

I've just primed with Light plain Spraymalt for the first time, and boy does it produce excellent carbonation and a good head on the beer! In the past I have used Young's Brewing Sugar, and quite frankly the results were poor.

Yea, I've used DME to prime every batch since my first. It takes a little longer, but you're right, the results make it worth it. Not to mention of course that corn sugar is evil. ;)

I keg my ales in a 40 pint plastic keg. Usually (when priming with sugar) I have to add CO2 after drawing about 10 pints, but with DME I've drawn 20 pints and she's still foaming like a goodun!

Well done.
I use Plastic kegs, DME and Nitrogen and get great head! (ooerr!!!)

I've just bought my first Corny.

How much did that set you back?

I reckon it was a good deal from Arkwrights.
With a built in tap and an adoptor for HB type cylinders (Saving the expense of a full CO2 rig) It cost about 55.

I'll go get a picture of the set up.

That's a ger-g-ger-g-ger-reat, du-du-der-der-du-der-du-deal from Arkwrights! ;)

(God Bless Ronnie!)
