Default Another Holiday keezer

This is Holiday 5.3 cu. ft from Lowe's
Inner collar is 2x6, outer collar is 1x8 cedar
Thermostat is the Love's which I love too

convenient cold storage for yeast, garnishes and glasses for the summer:

Many thanks to the author of this page:
PVC Collar Chest Freezer Kegerator Conversion
The faucets are 3/4" out further than the backsplash of the drip tray due to the outer collar, but the tray is still able to catch drips.
The regulators are from Midwest - I love not needing a screwdriver.
Cheers!

I finally finished my kegerator!

Finished it tonight!

Doggie weaseled into the shot.

I have a set of Perlicks coming as a Christmas gift, so the faucets should be replaced soon.

The kegerator is up and running...just needs a paint job. I don't know whether to keep it white or do something fancier. The freezer was rescued from a foreclosed home and although it seems to be in perfect running order, needed a paint job anyway.

The collar is an inch of foil backed foam insulation sandwiched between 1/4 inch masonite with rock maple trim where the seal was reattached. Since it isn't solid wood I had to reinforce the inside corners as well as where the hinges attach. When open it seems to be perfectly balanced; I was a little nervous about that. Very glad I attached the collar to the lid versus the body. Now I don't have to worry about banging my taps when hauling kegs in and out.

The collar is nine inches high which gives me enough room to put a keg on the shelf with plenty of space for connections.
