Default "Serving" Pressure

I have successfully carbed my 1st keg by the set an forget method. It's a Honey Nut Brown. I set the regulator at 12 PSI and it was carbed in a week. Do I leave it at 12 or do I turn it down to a lower pressure to serve? I'm currently pouring into a glass without any problems. Any ideas?

I carb & serve at 12 PSI.

If you turn it down, eventually the CO2 will come out of solution as the head space, now filled at a lower pressure will reach equilibrium.

I gotcha. So for my keezer build, I'm going with a 3 way gas manifold with check valves. My thinking is I can be serving off of 1 keg and carbing up another at the same pressure!!

Thanks for the fast response!!!

Yep. I've done that before and it works fine.

The only time I back off pressure for serving is when there is a party and I know the keg will be consumed within hours, I will dial it down to about 5 PSI to reduce foamage from noobs who don't know how to properly pull a beer from a tap.

^^^^ Agreed. I have actually pulled it completely off the gas. I only had to recharge it 2 or 3 times for about 10-15 seconds and it was fine. Saved a little gas and beer from, like you said, the people that don't know how to pour a glass.
