Anyone found a good way to remove the screen-printed labels that some micro-breweries print on their bomber bottles?
--- the reason I wake up every afternoon.
Hammers work... or if you are really determined.
One part Muratic acid to three parts water or a good CLR(calcium lime rust) soak will remove the silk screen labels.
Just be careful with the acid and the CLR.
Yup. CLR spray ftw.
Some have had good luck with just a plain StarSan soak, depending on the manufacturer.
Star San works on everything I have tried. Soak for a couple days. Probably 50% of my bottle collection is old Stone bottles.
Thanks guys! Got a bucket full of StarSan sitting outside right now. Never thought about that so will try it first. If the StarSan doesn't do the trick I'll try the CLR.
I appreciate the tips.
