I'm about to drive about an hour to pick up 4 kegs. I think they are converted pin lock but not 100% sure. I need true ball locks so they'll fit properly in my keezer. Picture is below. What say you guys? Covered pin lock? The posts look like ball lock to me, but the lack of pressure relief valves is what makes me think they are covered pin lock. The guy is suppose to send me a close up of the tops and posts before I make the trip. Wanted to see what the consensus was on here in the meen time. Thanks!!!!

Looking at those lids, the odds definitely favor converted pin locks...

Cheers!

[edit] Can't you have the seller just measure the kegs? If they're under 25" from floor to top of the rubbers, they're pin locks...

I think I see a coke sticker in the first pic. Those are pin lock.
Just ask the guy for the measurements. That'll tell you everything you need to know

Second keg (top left) has a Dr. Pepper sticker. That would make it ball lock. BTW, they do have PRVs. That's what is under the little dome on the lid. They just don't have a pull ring for you to vent the keg. I'm not aware of anyone selling replacement PRVs in that style so if one fails you'll likely be buying a replacement lid.

Went ahead and made the trip last night and had the seller measure the kegs. They are true ball locks at 8" diameter and 25" height. 2 are Firestone Challenger VI and 2 are Spartenburg Challenger VI. All four say "Property of Pepsi-Cola...." on them. They are in pretty decent shape and all were holding pressure when I got them home. Looks like they have never been used since they smell of soda syrup, which I guess is a good thing. Maybe someone swapped out the lids on their pin locks for these somewhere down the line??
